Where are you located?
We are located at 6/70 Bulcock Street Caloundra.

From Bulcock Street you will see an arcade area with Lifeline located on the left corner and The Coffee Shaka on the right corner of the entry. Walk into the arcade and up the stairs, then we're located inside Allied Abstract Health.
What are your opening hours?
Currently we are open:

What type of therapy do you offer?
Our therapist is able to offer a range of different therapies to suit individual needs. Some common therapies used in our practice include EMDR Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness techniques such as meditation or breathwork.

What issues do you specialise in?
We are able to help you with mental health concerns such as different anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues, eating disorders, body image issues, anger management, grief and loss, addiction, autism and ADHD.

How much do sessions cost?
Mental Health Treatment Plan referrals: $113 per session
NDIS-funded referral: $194 per session

If you are paying privately (i.e. no referral) see below
Private session fee: $198 per session
Couples counselling fee: $218 per session

How long are therapy sessions and how often should I attend?
Sessions run for 50 minutes.

The number and frequency of sessions is very individual, and will be discussed with your therapist as you progress through your therapy.​
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is used to discuss your mental health concerns and goals for therapy, as well as answering any questions you have about Mind The Way, our services, and general questions you might have about therapy. A treatment plan will be developed and started during your first session; our therapist will use this plan for ongoing sessions, making revisions where needed and always keeping your best interests and goals in mind.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, you can choose to attend therapy online if this is your preference. Please note, if choosing an appointment time on Saturday's these are online only.
What if I'm not sure if therapy is right for me?
We offer a FREE 15 minute discovery call so you can chat directly with our therapist! He will answer any questions you have and discuss suitable therapy approaches for your mental health concerns. We understand it's important to find a therapist that 'fits, and also want to ensure you're going to get the most out of your sessions at Mind the Way Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appt?
Of course. However, we kindly ask that you take note of our cancellation policy:

We require a minimum of two full business days’ notice for the rescheduling or cancelling of any appointments. You can contact us to arrange an online video or telephone call if you find yourself in a situation where you’re unable to attend in person. However, if for any reason an appointment is rescheduled or cancelled without correct notice or if you do not show for your appointment, the full fee will be charged.

There will be no charge if your appointment is rescheduled or cancelled with more than two full business days notice.
Please note that the two full business days’ does not include weekends or public holidays.
