What you can expect in your sessions
Whether you've tried counselling before, or not, seeing a new therapist can be overwhelming.

In your first session we'll spend some time going through your concerns and any relevant history. We'll answer any questions you have about Mind The Way and our processes. It's important to establish a good foundation in your first session so we can set up a treatment plan that will work for you. Before leaving, we'll make sure everyone's on the same page with this treatment plan.

In your ongoing sessions, we will continue to build on the therapist/client relationship. We'll work through your treatment plan keeping your best interests and goals front of mind. We like to take a collaborative approach to help you achieve relief from your mental health concerns, enabling you to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

Who we support
Youth (16 years +):
Now more than ever, young people are faced with challenges. We are here to help you share your mental health concerns in a safe and supportive environment. Our therapist Nick has many years experience in supporting youth with their mental health and is passionate in helping young people to recognise their strengths, and to work through their challenges with compassion and confidence.

Adults:
As we go through life, each of us at some point or another may need support in working through challenges that often have an impact on our mental health. Our therapist Nick has extensive experience in using integrative therapy approaches to help support adults heal from old wounds and help correct unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours to live more mindfully.

Couples:
Relationships can be complex at the best of times; Mind The Way recognises the challenges that couples can face and are here to help. For example, we can help couples who are looking to rekindle their relationship or help couples to peacefully and confidently co-parent their children. We will help navigate your issues together and find clarity in moving forward.
